APCL Academy Celebrates Coach Jatin Patel’s Induction into the Cricket Hall of Fame

We are immensely proud to announce that Jatin Patel, Chief Coach at APCL Academy, has received the prestigious Cricket Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award. This honor positions him as the eighth individual since 1981 to achieve this feat, joining a distinguished list that includes legends like Sir Garfield “Gary” Sobers, Dr. Michael Holding, Lloyd Dixon, Roy Sweeney, Denzel Powell, Tony Becca, and Mahammad Ahmad Qureshi, popularly known as Maq Qureshi.

Jatin Patel has previously been the recipient of the USA President’s Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his lifelong commitment to building a strong nation through volunteer service. He is also qualified for a State of Indiana Governor’s Long-Term Public Service Recognition, acknowledging his 35 years of professional excellence.

In 2010, Patel received the Indiana Governor’s Public Service Achievement Award and the American Cricket Federation Inaugural Volunteer Award in 2013. He was inducted into the USA Cricket Hall of Famer in 2020 and became a Board member in 2021. His commendable nomination for the Cricket Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award is a testament to his unwavering commitment and sincerity to public service and his multifaceted interest in sports.

Jatin Patel is the pioneering force behind the American Cricket Education Council (ACEC), which he established in 2022. A Professional Sports Performance Analyst accredited by the International Society of Performance Analysts of Sport (ISPAS), he holds Advance Sports Performance and Analysis Diplomas (FIFA & Olympic Soccer). Patel is renowned in the Indian community for his roles in cricket establishments in the USA, pioneering scholastic cricket, training coaches, and aiding more than sixty youth cricket academies, community programs, colleges, universities, and schools across the USA.

Reflecting on his achievements, an elated Jatin Patel remarked, “2023 is a momentous year for me, having received the Federal award, followed by CHOF international recognition. These achievements will forever be etched in my memory as one of the greatest honors. In cricket terms, I scored a Hat-Trick.”

His accolades were acknowledged by Dr. Shivnarine Chanderpaul, a Legend cricket hall of famer, former West Indies Captain, and Champion CPL 2022 coach, who said, “Jatin deserves such honor for all the work he has done with extreme dedication for the sport of Cricket.”

“Receiving another accolade of such high recognition is beyond comparison. I extend my heartfelt gratitude for the nomination. To be more precise, I can honestly say all credit goes to my parents, family, and friends who supported me over the years. I thank them all – this award is not just mine, but belongs to all of us as a team. We also count our forebears and mentors who provided the inspiration and motivation to serve others,” added Jatin Patel, who is also the Chairperson for Who Is Who in Cricket (CricWho).
